First discovered and signed, thanks to groundswell of MySpace activity (over 10 million plays to date), when she was only 19, Simms and her longtime drummer and collaborator, Daniel Currier, first recorded with producer Matt Squire for their Recover EP, which was released exclusively by Hot Topic in 2008. The Automatic Loveletter, debut EP came out in early 2009. Combined, both releases have sold over 20,000 units.
All have shared the stage with Secondhand Serenade, Cute Is What We Aim For, From First To Last, Say Anything, Between The Trees and Craig Owens, they played Bamboozle and Bamboozle Left in 2008. in 2008 they played their first Vans Warped Tour.
Additionally, Simms has worked with other highly respected young stars. In 2007 she sang on a track on All time Low s album So Wrong, It s Right. She recorded a cover of Coldplay s Fix You for Secondhand Serenade s 2009 record A Twist In My Story. And she has appeared on songs by Cartel, 3OH!3 and LoveHateHero. In 2009 she performed with Secondhand Serenade on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The songs are not the type of songs that are no-brainers or easy pop songs, Simms says. They re me. I hope the album is undeniable and new and fresh. It s something I m really proud of. Something that when you re recording it you just want to have everybody hear it right away because you re so excited. I want the excitement to fulfill everyone else too.
